To provide long term, forever care, to the most severely mentally and physically disabled children and adults in a loving family environment free of chemicals, isolation and restraints for as long as they live.
One of a few homes in Texas that give severely disabled children and adults a place to live on a long term basis. Hope House began in 1966 with 10 disabled children. Today it is a forever home to 16 children and 16 adults. All of the adults have been here since the home began over 50 years ago. Hope House is a fully licensed home with qualified direction and long term staff who see to every need of the residents 24/7. Most cannot speak and need care for toiletry, bathing, clothing and eating. We are their family. There is a 10+ yr. wait list due to the length of stay and shortage of such homes in Texas.
