Penumbra Foundation is a non profit organization that brings together the Art and Science of Photography through education, research, outreach, public and residency programs.

Description

The Penumbra Foundation was established in 1997 as a non-profit 501(c)3 arts and education organization for the purpose of exploring and preserving the methods, materials, and technologies of early photography.

At the heart of the Penumbra Foundation is the education program which began in 2001 with three classes and is currently offering 30 classes comprised of weekend workshops, full semester courses, master classes, travel programs, and educational outreach.
