Mission Statement

The Children's Art Studio is founded on the belief that children reap tremendous social, emotional, and developmental gains from making art and that this opportunity should be made available to all. Small class size, thoughtful instruction and the inventive use of high quality materials is what it is all about. Since 2007 The Children's Art Studio has been bringing the highest international standards of visual arts instruction to students in Washington DC with camps, classes and workshops.

Description

In partnership with The District of Columbia Promise Neighborhood Initiative, The Children's Art Studio has brought the joy and peace of art making to the youngest residents of the Kenilworth Parkside neighborhood.
Over the past year The Children's Art Studio has taught over one hundred twenty children a week at three sites in the community.

The Children's Art Studio walks hand in hand with The Promise Neighborhood Initiative with the goal of ending poverty for children and families by improving quality of life and inspiring positive change. We hope you will join us!
