Worthy Dog Rescue

Worthy Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping dogs in distress, especially those living on chains, in pens, or in neglectful and abusive situations. Our mission is to provide a better life for these dogs, while working to address the root problems of animal overpopulation and improve animal welfare. We do this through community outreach and by supporting and educating dog owners in underserved communities, by sponsoring spay and neuter programs and reduced cost veterinary care, and by rescuing and rehabilitating dogs in need.

We want to give a voice to these dogs who can’t speak for themselves, and as the caretakers and domesticators of these animals, we have the obligation to provide for them. Many of these forgotten dogs spend their entire lives in confinement, unable to seek shelter or protect themselves from danger. They are sentenced to a life of isolation, living without love, medical care, and sometimes even basic nourishment, when all they want is to be part of a family. It’s sad and unthinkable, but it’s true, and it’s happens in some communities every day.
