Mission Statement

Preserve, Protect and Enhance Batiquitos Lagoon

Description

BLF is a non profit All Volunteer 501(c)3 Organization. We maintain the trails and habitat around Batiquitos Lagoon. We also operate a Nature Center with examples of insects, shells, rocks and birds. We conduct monthly speaker presentation on environmental subjects and offer group docent tours. We have a dedicated children’s area in our Nature Center with is open 7 days a week from 9am-3pm.

It was fun. I do wish I had known before hand that we would be installing a kiosk instead of standard trail clean up. The work was a lot more intense than I had anticipated (digging post holes, mixing & pouring concrete, carrying a very heavy kiosk).
