Points of Light’s Military Initiatives supports service members, veterans and their families by tapping into their unique skills and talents and helping them build bridges with their civilian neighbors to create more vibrant and resilient communities. Through our public-private partnerships we develop volunteer-driven solutions that honor, inspire and engage the military and veteran community

Description

Points of Light Frontline Families Initiative helps more people discover and apply their capacities to make a difference in the communities where they live and work. We believe that by combining forces and intentionally engaging a broad set of voices,we are better able to drive change and improve lives in communities across the globe. For our Military Initiatives programming, this means strengthening the capacity of local nonprofit organizations and engaging military service members, veterans and their families in impactful volunteerism that addresses their goals to reintegrate into civilian life as they transition out of active duty. We invite you to join us in inspiring, equipping and mobilizing volunteers to take action that unites people in creating healthy, vibrant communities.
