Our mission is to provide education, literacy training, and recreation activities to disadvantaged children and their families in the greater Newark area.

Description

Protestant Community Centers, Inc. (PCCI) is one of 5 sister agencies managed by Community Agencies Corp of NJ. We run the largest one-to-one tutoring program in New Jersey picking up children from 16 Newark schools, transporting them to one of 30 tutoring sites hosted by churches, corporations, and private schools. We also run the largest Reading Is Fundamental program in NJ, a Service Learning program in two Newark high schools, comprehensive after school programs and summer camps.
