Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Quitman Public Library to provide and make readily available library materials selected in response to the patron's interests with respect to reference, informational, leisure enjoyment, and to provide services that will enhance these major functions. The selection of reference materials should provide for a collection that is broad in scope, and consisting of accurate and up-to-date materials. Popular materials selection should give emphasis to circulating items which are current, in high demand, and in a variety of formats to meet the needs of the community served by the Quitman Public Library.
