The mission of the McDonough County Health Department Medical Reserve Corps which is an entity of the McDonough County Health Department is to connect with health care professionals and non-medical individuals that are interested in helping the community to improve the health of the resident, prepare/respond/and mitigate emergencies, disasters, and pursing public health needs through trained volunteers who will assist local medical emergency response systems.
We are currently in the process of creating a MRC in McDonough county and will be recruiting volunteers through our active McDonough County Emergency Preparedness Partners members which include the local hospital, Western Illinois University, Carl Sandburg College, Spoon River College, local emergency responders, nursing homes, and various other community partners.
