Mission Statement

Serving Christ's needy is the first purpose of all St. Vincent de Paul stores. To continue in this ministry, we will use sound business practices. Surplus funds will be used to support parish conferences and other Society charitable causes approved by our councils and board of directors.

Description

Established in 2008, St. Vincent de Paul Cabrini Conference is a locally operated and funded Catholic lay organization the mission of which is to provide basic human needs services in the Wausau area. We collaborate with United Way's 2-11 help line, Catholic Charities and the Marathon County Basic Needs Interagency Group to help individuals and families in need. We also operate a successful thrift store that helps fund our mission and supplies the bulk of our "in kind" giving. In addition, the store also offers great opportunities to do meaningful and enjoyable volunteer work. During fiscal year 2017 we distributed over $100,000 in food, transportation, clothing, household goods and financial support to those in need.
