The Mission of Dharma Rain Zen Center is to provide for the transmission of the teachings and practice of Soto Zen Buddhism and to cultivate compassion, love, wisdom and understanding within our community.

Description

Founded in 1975, Dharma Rain Zen Center is the oldest and largest Soto Zen Buddhist temple in Oregon. Our website has over 37,000 visits annually. DRZC focuses on teaching the principles of compassion and mindfulness in daily life for Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike, offering daily meditation; workshops, classes and retreats; children’s programs; and a statewide prison outreach program.
