To provide a central focus for the development, growth and coordination of volunteer activities and services within Broward County, Florida; to promote involvement from all and for all segments of the community in relation to voluntarism.

Description

Volunteer Broward recruits and refers individual, group, student and employee volunteers to over 600 nonprofit agencies in Broward County. VB manages a growing database of over 6200 individual volunteer opportunities and serves as a critical link in the coordination of volunteers following disasters.

My son is almost 12 years old and is currently homeschooling 6th grade. I would like to become more community activity to set a good example for him and it is something I always wanted to do. I would also would like to participate in activities he can volunteer on as it is a requirement for schooling and looks good on college applications.
