Mission Statement

As a non-profit organization, Friends of the Bill Williams River and Havasu National Wildlife Refuges is committed to the conservation and protection of these jewels of the lower Colorado River. We pledge to support and assist Refuge staff's efforts to improve and maintain these unique resources, provide environmental education opportunities, and promote hunting, fishing, wildlife observation, wildlife photography, and environmental-interpretive uses of the refuges.

Description

We support the staff of the Bill Williams River NWR near Parker AZ, and the Havasu NWR near Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Topock AZ, in their mission to conserve and protect the refuges. We are a diverse group of outdoor enthusiasts (wildlife observers and photographers, hunters, fishermen, kayakers, environmental educations-regardless of past experience), seeking like-minded individuals to join us in our efforts. Our goals include fund-raising for Refuge projecs and volunteerism to support Refuge projects and events.
