Mission Statement

The Clan Gordon Pipe Band was formed in 1955 and is one of the largest and most active pipe bands in the Pacific Northwest. We constantly strive to play quality music and have fun doing it. We welcome visitors and newcomers!

Description

In 1955 some Scottish immigrants and some Americans pooled their experience and, with the sponsorship of Clan Gordon, formed the Clan Gordon Pipe Band. The first Pipe Major was Johnnie Montgomery, father of long time member Jack Montgomery. Today, even though Clan Gordon is no longer a sponsor, the band retains the original name. We are successful in our primary purpose: to bring the music of the highland bagpipe to the Northwest. The Clan Gordon Pipe Band is a member of the British Columbia Pipers' Association and performs many shows throughout the Western United States and Canada. They can be seen at many local parades, highland gatherings, and at the Clan Gordon Tartan Ball.
