Mission Statement

Transforming urban rivers into urban wildlife sanctuaries, for the betterment of the people and wildlife that call these rivers home.

Description

We are building a revolutionary mile-long wildlife park in the Chicago River near downtown Chicago. We are experimenting with many different habitat solutions, engaging the community and students to develop and monitor these solutions, and building the park in a way that it can be accessed and appreciated by kayakers and pedestrians. This will be the first park of its kind, and we aim to repeat this model in other cities around the world.
