Mission Statement

Hidden Hollow Farm Riding Center is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Its mission is to provide a safe, educational, and pleasurable therapeutic riding facility for people with and without disabilities.

Description

Hidden Hollow Farm offers programs for riders of all abilities and of all ages:

  • Non-Therapeutic riding lessons
  • Therapeutic riding lessons
  • Working Together Horses and Heroes - A program designed specifically for veterans, police, fire fighters, EMS, and their families for low cost riding lessons.
  • Harness Your Healing - A program specifically designed by the staff of Hidden Hollow, at no cost for victims of domestic violence, crime, and abuse survivors and their families.
  • Working with such organizations as The Grace Smith House and The Child Advocacy Center both located in Poughkeepsie, NY.
At Hidden Hollow, we are driven by our love for helping all those in need in our community, and cannot continue to provide our services without the help of volunteers.

I began volunteering here when I was around 7 and am now mid-twenties. Stephanie, Erica, and the rest of the team is like my second family to me. Everyone is always so warm and friendly. They know that everyone has their own unique gifts to offer, so if horses scare you, but fixing a tractor is your jam more power to you. I know from first-hand experience that HHF needs and loves its volunteers and they take great pride and care in them. Even now that I've graduated, gotten married, and moved away from Red Hook, there is no place I'd rather be than Hidden Hollow Farm.
