Our mission is to establish and maintain a comprehensive network of services for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or deaf-blind. We especially focus on youth, advocating for them so that they can successfully make the transition to adulthood. We bridge the gap and advocate for them so that they may live a fulfilled life in a socially diverse world just like their peers. An important element of our mission is to also raise awareness of the importance of early intervention and to remove the stigma that causes the business community to focus on perceived impairments rather than a person’s real ability to perform tasks required.
Description
Thus far, my organization is focus on advocating, and assisting children who are deaf by partnering with schools in GA, USA, and Grenada. Our project in Grenada is to begin early to late intervention and detection, and screening for children who may be at risk as hard of hearing, or deaf.
