Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Wild Women Project is dedicated to assisting those in need of support and healing through experiential wilderness and animal-assisted personal development and learning opportunities. We strive to provide a safe space for our clients to learn and grow where there is no judgment or pressure, just freedom to be themselves and better themselves.
We give at-risk youth the opportunity to create a bond with rescued and rehabilitated goats and horse s which serves as a form therapeutic intervention through a comprehensive lifemanship program. Our youth learn natural horsemanship, animal training, animal husbandry, participate in creative writing, art Therapy, tutoring, yoga and meditation and farm to table cooking classes. Each child is assigned a horse that is carefully selected by our staff to ensure the strongest bond. This bond will help guide both partners down their healing journey. We provide the lifemanship course on a sliding scale but most of our youth are at risk and require sponsorships to be able to attend and care for their own horse. Our hope for our youth is to give them the lifemanship skills they need to overcome whatever their current obstacles are and go into the world with tools to help them succeed. We rely 100% on donations and volunteers.
