Mission Statement

FareStart transforms the lives of homeless and disadvantaged men and women, building self-sufficiency through job training and placement in the food service industry.

Description

FareStart offers a 16 week training program for homeless men and women. We not only prepare them for job placement, but also offer life skill classes and deal directly with other issues a student may face. A place to sleep, dental and medical attention, and mental health counseling. The best thing we do is offer an extremely supportive atmosphere to help each student make the changes they need to to be productive. 80% of our graduates are employed upon graduation, and most of the rest within two weeks of graduation. FareStart works, and works well to get people off of the streets, out of shelters, in to the work force. FareStart is an awesome and inspiring place to be.
