Mission Statement

Generation Vote will educate, connect and mobilize students on college campuses across New York (and eventually swing states) to become agents of change in local campaigns through research, platform development and campaign experience. A crucial part of our vision is to develop an online community and eventually, a mobile app to enhance the experience of students in our organization.

Description

Our Model for Change:

  • Educate. We will provide the tools for young people to change the outcomes of elections. We will realize the potential of our generation through innovative trainings on community organizing, leadership development, research/policy development, and electoral politics.
  • Mobilize. We will empower our generation through the collective power of supporting candidates that support youth-led platforms. We will transform local political landscapes through increased youth civic engagement beyond Election Day, so our generation’s voice is heard.
  • Connect. We will create a network of Generation Vote teams across the country. You will connect and learn from other energetic, innovative and eager youth leaders working on policies and campaigns across your region.Through groundbreaking technology we will learn, mobilize and win together.
