Mission Statement
DBMC provides programs that empower families in an urban community to achieve well-being and self-sufficiency.
Description
Our organization was founded by the Sisters of Mercy back in 1995 to serve as a resource for families who needed a safe yet affordable means of providing after school services to the children of the neighborhood.
While we have a specialization for After School Youth Programing (we accept grades K-5th for general After school) we have now implemented our "legacy" Program which encourages Grades 6th-8th to participate in age specific programing centered around personal development, group work, counseling, as well as service learning projects.
We have Adult Education Classes available:
-Spanish Language TASC (GED), and Computer Literacy
-ESL with a focus on conversational English mixed with English for the Workplace
