Suncrest Hospice is looking for seamstresses who can make memory bears (or other stuffed animals) for families of our hospice patients who have passed away. These stuffed animals are made from a cherished piece of clothing of a loved one who has passed away and given to the family as a sweet reminder of their loved one. It may be a bear dressed in grandpa's favorite flannel shirt, carrying a fishing pole, and wearing a fishing hat, just like grandpa. Or a sweet bunny in mom's favorite floral dress with gardening gloves. If you feel like you can make one or more, we would love to have your creative talent join our team! Suncrest Hospice is located in Sacramento and serves over 170 patients throughout Sacramento, El Dorado, Yolo, Yuba, and Placer Counties. Please contact Volunteer Coordinator Pang Fang at 916-928-0102 or email PFang@suncrestcare.com for more information.
