Mission Statement

Pigtown Main Street is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to revitalize the Washington Boulevard commercial corridor in Pigtown, a neighborhood of Southwest Baltimore. Small businesses create jobs and investment, increase property values and lower crime. By mentoring small business owners and addressing their barriers for growth, we improve quality-of-life throughout Pigtown.

Description

Since 2000, Pigtown Main Street, has led the revitalization of the Washington Boulevard commercial corridor in Historic Pigtown, a neighborhood of Southwest Baltimore City. We are one of nine Main Street programs in Baltimore and one of more than 700 programs accredited by Main Street America. We offer technical assistance to small business owners, partner with property owners to recruit new small businesses, implement clean, green and safe initiatives, and host free neighborhood events that foster community pride and attract customers to our shops.
