Volunteering with Healing California was an incredibly meaningful experience. I primarily supported nursing students with patient care assisting with vitals, triage, and ensuring smooth patient flow. Being part of a team that delivers free dental and vision services to underserved communities inspired me deeply. The staff and organizers were actively involved, taking the time to ensure every volunteer understood their role and felt supported. Working alongside future nurses strengthened my skills and gave me a renewed passion for healthcare and teamwork. I’m thankful to Healing California for the opportunity to grow while making a difference.

Really worth while organization! It was amazing to see all those people receive much needed dental and optical care. The staff I worked with were terrific and the veterans kept thanking ME for helping them even though they had risked their lives for our freedom. Eye opening experience! I would definitely do it again!
