The mission of California Destination Imagination is to empower California students to be curious learners, courageous innovators, and inspirational leaders.
Destination Imagination (DI) is a volunteer lead, non-profit, FUN, creative, kid driven program where kids learn how to think, not what to think. Using STEAM,(Science, technology, engineering, art, math) and service learning, teams of students collaborate, think outside the box and create unique solutions to one of seven different challenges in preparation for a fun problem-solving competition.
Destination Imagination is an after school program for students K-12. Teams are made up of 2-7 students and an adult team manager. We train the adult Team manager and provide resources to work with teams. Teams meet once a week for 2 hours at the Team Managers convenience and perhaps a few weekend afternoon meetings right before the tournament. . The cost per child is approximately $125 through the Regional Tournament. Our Regional Tournament is March 10th in Laguna Beach.
