Facilitate a life skills workshop that meets an essential need of shelter clients. Examples of workshops that have taken place at this shelter are: stress reduction, problem solving, interpersonal communication, financial literacy, anger management workshops, and recovery groups.

We are looking for attorneys who would be able to advise residents on common issues such as expungements of criminal records, lifting warrants, domestic relations issues, traffic violations, debtor/creditor issues. The ongoing legal clinic occurs once a week at the shelter for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Attorneys not required to represent men in court, but to direct them to solutions and resources.

Volunteers are needed to provide and/or serve meals throughout the year from our shelter's kitchen to individuals who are homeless in Cleveland. Breakfast, lunch and dinner meals are needed.

Assist clients who are homeless in their search for apartments. Clients will have housing vouchers or Rapid Rehousing assistance. On behalf of / or with the client, speak with prospective landlords by phone, explaining the housing voucher (or short-term assistance) which the client has. Find out landlords' expectations. The volunteer will work closely with shelter staff on housing referrals. This position may entail going online to various housing sites and cold calling to inquire about available units and qualifications for renting one of those units.
