Description

Countryside Retirement Home was established in 1965 as a ministry of a neighboring church. In 1980, the name Countryside Retirement Home was adopted and it is no longer closely associated with the church. The home was originally licensed as an 85 bed nursing facility. In 1973, a 76 bed addition was added. Independent apartments were added in 1983, 1985, and 1990 for a total of 62 units.Countryside is currently licensed for 135 nursing facility beds, 25 residential beds, and 62 individual apartments. The average tenure of the 9 administrative staff members is 16.5 years, and the Home employs 120 people in the community of Sioux City, Iowa.
