Mission Statement

We use adventure travel and cultural immersion to help children around the world through "hand-up" education. We are currently focused on helping the children of porters and guides in the Mount Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania and the Maasai of Kenya. We use cultural immersion trips to connect people to children in need of a high quality education. We sponsor deserving kids at high quality "English-Medium" boarding schools, helping them climb out of poverty through education, one step at a time.

Description

We are currently looking for a volunteer to help teach and mentor our students while they are on school break, usually mid December to mid January. The regions would include Maasai Mara in Kenya and Arusha in Tanzania. Focus will be on basic math, reading, writing, communications, and self empowerment. Helping with computer and using the internet a plus. These kids come from desperately poor backgrounds of hard working families. Must be able to go with the flow and work with the individual culture. A learning experience for all.
