The West Milford Animal Shelter Society

Mission Statement

The West Milford Animal Shelter is a unique, 100% volunteer organization responsible for operating the shelter in our community. Our Purpose is to provide humane care and treatment for the nearly 1,000 animals that pass through our doors annualy. We seek to return lost animals to their owners, and seek suitable homes for those without owners. In addition, we educate and influence the public with respect to care, treatment, and welfare of animals. We discourage cruelty to animals of all types, and we promote spay/neuter programs in an effort to minimize animal over-population.
