Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets lovingly created by volunteers.

Description

We make/gather/distribute handmade blankets to local children in crisis.

Our blankets go directly to agencies in Frederick County, MD to be distributed to children in crisis that they serve (local hospital pediatric floor and emergency room, agencies that serve abused and homeless children, hospice grieving groups for kids, etc).

Our chapter runs solely on volunteers and donations. Our volunteers not only make blankets, they pick them up from drop sites, sew on Project Linus tags, send thank yous, sort blankets, make repairs, and deliver them to agencies.
