Formed in 1996, Friends For Life Society was founded on the core realization that while although there were many services aiding people life-challenging illnesses - the unmet need was complementary programs that could enhance the healing process. Through a diverse set of programs Friends For Life seeks to expand accessibility to a full spectrum of healing techniques, offer guidance, bolster community support, and provide a bridge so that people do not have to struggle alone. Towards this goal Friends For Life; * Provides a centralized source for health care information * Focuses on the positive aspects of healing in partnership with the health care community * Approaches each situation with a focus on the well-being of the individual rather than the illness alone * Offers vital services to people coping with any life-challenging illness
