Mission Statement

We build bridges between seniors and the people in their community. Our mission is to keep seniors from being isolated and underappreciated when they do not have close family living nearby, and we do that by visiting seniors, reading aloud to seniors, and recording seniors' recollections about their lives. The seniors in our community are a valuable resource of wisdom and caring, and all of us can benefit from learning what they have to teach us.

Description

We are a 501c3 non-profit based in Minneapolis that reaches out to seniors and helps them to feel valued and recognized by their community. Our efforts include a read-aloud-to-seniors program for youth to participate in, scheduling regular visits to check on welfare and provide conversation, and an initiative to record seniors while they recount stories from their lives and offer advice to younger people.
