Description
The Mid America Teen Community Emergency Response Team is an advanced community training program that teaches all citizens, who are at least 12 years and older, to assist their families and emergency services in the event of an emergency and or natural disaster before professional first responders arrive.
Our goal is to train students how to respond to any emergency situation effectively and efficiently, without placing themselves in unnecessary danger. Some of the knowledge taught contains how to handle most emergency situations, including treating the medical killers and providing medical aid, managing utilities and putting out small fires, searching for and rescuing victims safely, assisting people with special and functional needs, preparing for acts of terrorism, and collecting disaster intelligence to support first responder efforts.
