As a Volunteer Website Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence and user experience. Your creative skills and technical expertise will contribute to designing and maintaining a visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive website that aligns with our organization's goals and values. Responsibilities: Website Design: Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to understand the organization's branding and design requirements. Design and develop visually appealing and intuitive website layouts, incorporating elements such as images, graphics, videos, and interactive features. Ensure a consistent and cohesive design across all website pages and sections. Optimize website design for various devices and screen sizes to provide an exceptional user experience. Content Integration: Work with content creators to ensure that text, images, and multimedia content are integrated seamlessly into the website design. Implement SEO best practices to enhance the website's search engine visibility. Website Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain the website content, ensuring accuracy and relevance. Monitor website performance, identifying and addressing any technical issues, broken links, or glitches. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to recommend improvements for the website's design and functionality. Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and IT, to gather requirements and feedback for website improvements. Participate in brainstorming sessions and discussions to contribute creative ideas and solutions. Qualifications: Proficiency in website design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc. Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, PHP, and responsive design techniques. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics. Portfolio showcasing previous website design projects is preferred but not mandatory.
