Mission Statement

The purpose of the Chesapeake Environmental Improvement Council is to promote interest in the general improvement of the environment of Chesapeake thereby making Chesapeake a cleaner place to live. It's mission is to promote litter prevention, recycling, and beautification by providing citizens an opportunity to get involved at the grassroots level.

Description

The CEIC is a citizen council consisting of eighteen volunteers appointed by the Mayor to serve three-year terms on the governing board. However, thousands of other volunteers are actively involved in CEIC projects and sub-committees. Visitors are welcome to attend CEIC monthly meetings
