Mission Statement

The mission is to build on the already‐strong sense of community in Wakefield Village, while further promoting local shops, restaurants, theater, and a bike trail along the beautiful Saugatucket River and bridge.

Description

The Wakefield Village Association is a non‐profit organization, which promotes the livability, walk‐ability, and viability of historic Main Street in downtown Wakefield, Rhode Island. The association is comprised of downtown merchants, artists, non‐profits, residents, and local stakeholders. Several, annual events and fundraisers are open to the general public, and enjoyed by both residents ‐ such as RiverFire, Endless Summer, Main Street Holiday Stroll, Winter Wonderland, and so much more, including the larger festival, Wakefield Oktoberfest.

This is an amazing non-profit organization, which really is dedicated to the village, it's businesses, and community - and creates very fun events all year round!
