Mission Statement

To market Center City to our residents and beyond by working together to make our independent retailers stronger and by encouraging collaboration between businesses and districts. Our focus is on creating healthy and vibrant downtown areas for our residents and visitors through traditional marketing, advocacy and special events. Our citizens can take pride in their downtowns and this is crucial to maintaining the current retailers, restaurants and specialty shops as well as recruiting more businesses to join our Center City. Our main message is to shop local throughout the year. When you spend $100 at a locally-owned business, $68 stays in your community.

Description

The Champaign Center Partnership is a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization founded in 2010 through a merger of the Champaign Downtown Association and the Campustown Business Group. This partnership between the two historic commercial centers of the community opened a new chapter in joint marketing and cooperation between the areas.

Included in this partnership are the districts of Downtown, Campustown and the central commercial area along University Avenue and First Street known as Midtown. The districts are collectively known as Center City.

The Champaign Center Partnership is a member based business organization providing marketing and promotion opportunities for our members as well as advocacy and assistance.
