Founded in 1985 asa not-for-profit, World Music Institute (WMI) has served as one of the leading presenters of world music and dance within the United States. WMI is committed to presenting the finest in traditional and contemporary music and dance from around the world to inspire wonder at the world's rich cultural traditions, promote awareness and encourage cross-cultural dialog and exchange.

Description

World Music Institute offers affordable access to world music and dance performances at the highest levels of artistic quality to foster greater understanding and appreciation of the world's cultures. WMI strongly believes that music and dance are uniquely positioned to bring people together, allowing us to experience our cultural differences while at the same time celebrating our shared humanity.
