Mission Statement

Our mission is to help children and adults with autism or other developmental disabilities maximize their potential in a dignified, positive and loving environment.

Description

Since 1969, Morgan Autism Center has served as a school and as a resource for families and professional service providers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Located in San Jose, Morgan Autism Center supports students and adults, ages 5-58, who are severely impacted by autism, delivering high quality, specialized programming to those individuals.

Morgan Autism Center is the Bay Area’s leading provider of individualized educational services for people with autism. With over 45-years of innovative programming, we promote an educational philosophy (MAC Model) that mines the best techniques from multiple developmental and educational models, and applies them to the individual needs of each student.

Our School Program serves 68 students ages 5-22. Staffed at a 1:1 staff to student ratio, students receive daily speech therapy, physical fitness, academic instruction, social and independent living skills training, and participate in weekly community outings. Additionally, students participate in enrichment activities such as art and music therapy.

Our Adult Program serves 50 adult clients ages 22 and older. The Adult Program focuses primarily on vocational and independent living skills training. Like students in the School Program, clients in our Adult Program receive daily physical fitness, participate in weekly art and music programs, and have individualized goals. Clients participate in vocational training with local businesses to improve work skills.
