AccentCare Hospice & Palliative Care of Sacramento is committed to our mission of Reimagining care to transform health care to our patients and their families at all stages of the end of life. Some of our patients are spending the final weeks, days and hours of their lives alone, without family and friends nearby. Although they become part of the AccentCare Hospice family, these individuals would benefit from your companionship and supportive presence at the end of their lives. Vigil Volunteers are trained to support patients in their final hours by holding their hand, providing reassurance, placing a cool washcloth on their forehead, creating a peaceful environment through music and aromatherapy, and offering support throughout their transition. You will receive full hospice volunteer training and specialized Vigil Volunteer training. All volunteers with AccentCare Hospice complete a basic physical and background check, paid for by AccentCare. Are you a good listener and want to volunteer from the comfort of your own home? AccentCare Hospice of Sacramento is looking for Bereavement Phone Call Volunteers to help comfort families after the loss of a loved one. AccentCare Hospice is committed to supporting families in their time of need, including after the loss of a loved one. Specifically, AccentCare has a comprehensive 13-month Bereavement program where we stay in touch with a patient's family members and other loved ones after he or she passes away. We need compassionate listeners to contact families to offer companionship and emotional support. You can call from the convenience of your own home or use one of our phones in our Sacramento office and on your own time. Are you a compassionate person with time and a master when it comes to organization and administrative tasks? If so, then AccentCare Hospice of Sacramento needs your help! AccentCare Hospice Office Volunteers are an important part of our team by assisting with administrative or clerical tasks Monday-Friday. Not only do you keep our staff organized, but you are also keeping us focused on providing excellent care to our patients! Current needs include volunteers to help with filing, data information, and assembling document packets. Other miscellaneous tasks may also be requested. All training will be provided either on-site or from the comfort of your own home online! Office help particularly needed on Thursdays and Fridays between our normal business hours of 8:00 am-5:00pm Want to learn more?
