The mission of Hiram House is to enrich the lives of children through camping. We provide the youth of our community with an opportunity to live, play and learn in an environment that is racially, ethnically and socio-economically diverse. Hiram House is committed to promoting family values, building character and opening new horizons for youth.
Hiram House was founded in 1896 and is the oldest camp in the state of Ohio. Since it was founded Hiram House has been a pioneer in opening new horizons for youth of all ages. Hiram House operates a summer day camp and overnight camp. Camperships are available for youth for our overnight summer camp. Overnight Camp is typically youth from low income families and youth in foster care. In the off season, Hiram House hosts outdoor education programs for local schools, weekend retreats as well as groups participating in our high and low ropes course and climbing wall.
