Mission Statement

Spectrios Institute empowers children and adults with vision loss, regardless of income, to optimize their visual capabilities and independence through the use of prescriptive tools, technology, rehabilitative training and inspiration.

Description

Since 1986, Spectrios Institute for Low Vision has been a leader in the field of low vision rehabilitation. Their programs include a comprehensive, multidisciplinary low vision rehabilitation program for adults, Home Care Vision Services Program for home-bound individuals, Seeing is Believing Children's Program, Sight for the Road Bioptic Driving Program, and an at-risk/vision loss prevention program for low income individuals.
Spectrios Institute maintains collaborations with Wheaton Lions, Access DuPage, Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, The Humanitarian Service Project, Salvation Army and VNA Aurora.
