Mission Statement

Our mission for Mid Town Music Academy is to restore the creative, cultural, communal, and economic vitality of our local, national and global villages. It is to create a reality that facilitates the aspirations of future generations who need access to human and economic resources to be competitive in the entertainment job market. It is to partner with other institutions and individuals who support the ideals of a highly creative and technical classroom setting that will prepare our children for the new musical training processes and the new entertainment business environment.

Description

Mid-Town Music Academy is a nonprofit public charity that provides free music
training and tutorial services to children and youth of the Nashville community. The program is designed for elementary and middle school children and youths grades k through 8. All students are required to participate in tutoring and academic coaching to remain in the program.
Our curriculum for the upcoming year includes music instruction in Beginning Piano, and Vocal Training. Our tutorial program will focus on Mathematics, Language Arts/Reading, and Science. We are anticipating increased enrollment for the 2017-2018 academic year as we have already pre- registered approximately 70 children and youths between the two locations. Increased enrollment will require additional volunteer staff to provide music instruction and tutorial services. We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic volunteers to teach Beginning, Piano, Vocal Training, and provide tutorial assistance in Mathematics, Language Arts/Reading and Science.
