Description

Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site is home to America's first successful iron works. Placed along the beautiful Saugus River, it contains estuary, freshwater, and forest ecosystems that are home to a diverse array of animals and plants. This group was formed to gather volunteers in an effort to preserve the park's natural resources through various projects like invasive plant removal, litter pick-up, and trail maintenance.
