Safe Haven Recovery building women's recovery transitional housing and program. Our Dandelion Meadow building will house our offices, artisan workshop, gift shop and bakery, and will be advertised as a business promoting awareness of women's issues and solutions. In addition, public rooms will be made available for 12-step group meetings.
Staffing will begin in 2017 for a LCSW, an RN, an Executive Officer and Administrative Assistant, and applications will be accepted for six women to begin our first "class" in January. We will partner with government and NGOs to evaluate the women for medical, psychological and substance abuse health issues, and begin individualized treatment. They will attend 12-step meetings each evening, as well as participate in a variety of therapy options.
The public face, Dandelion Meadow, will provide vocational training for the women in our program. We also plan to hire local people that are part of the 12-step Recovery community, and recruit volunteers to augment our staff.
As the first class of women transitions from recovery to job training and school, we plan to accept a second group of women to live in a new home and begin the recovery process. At our total build-out, we plan to operate 4 houses, and continue to employ graduates that would like to stay.
