Mission Statement
Sherman's Valley Heritage Days, Inc. was founded in 1986 for the purpose of demonstrating and preserving the role of antique farm equipment, vehicles, hand-craftsmanship, and the heritage of the way things were done in the "Good Old Days," and to educate the public about the importance of preserving items and practices from the past.
Description
Sherman's Valley Heritage Days, Inc. sponsors a yearly antique tractor and car show (Sherman's Valley Heritage Days) the second full weekend in October at the Blain Picnic Grounds outside the town of Blain, PA in western Perry County. Various community organizations are allotted responsibilities by us during the show. After all expenses have been paid by our organization, the remaining proceeds are divided up among the following local community organizations to assist with their operations and outreach to the community: Blain Ambulance Co., Blain Senior Citizens' Center, Blain Lions Club, Blain Volunteer Fire Co., Blain Minors baseball team, Blain Boy Scout Troop 105, Community Library of Western Perry County, Ladies' Auxiliary of the Blain Fire Co., Adams Lodge No. 319, and Sherman's Valley Heritage Days. Inc..
