Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Habitat for Humanity envisions a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Pickens County Habitat for Humanity has been building affordable homes with low-income families in need since 1981, and we are the twelfth oldest affiliate in the nation. We approach the affordable housing crisis holistically, by partnering with deserving families in Pickens County who contribute 200 hours of sweat equity through construction (building their own home and others') and education (17 hours of financial literacy). Our goal is to provide the basic need of shelter and the tools necessary for financial independence in order to witness families transition into successful homeownership in safe and affordable spaces.
