Mission Statement

The mission for Salt River Animal Rescue is to help stray animals by providing shelter, medical care, love, companionship, and place them into loving, forever homes. We are an all-volunteer, foster home based, certified 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in Scottsdale, Arizona. We do not have a physical shelter. Instead, we operate primarily through our foster homes, online databases, and at adoption events/expos. Although the animals in our care may come from many different paths, our vision is to partner with Native American communities to end pet overpopulation. We wish to serve these communities and adopters by educating and encouraging responsible pet ownership with an emphasis on the need for spaying and neutering.
