Mission Statement
The Higgins Armory Museum is a private, non-profit educational institution that presents the history of arms and armor, in a broad cultural context, as shaped by the Museum's Guiding Principles. The Museum achieves its mission by preserving, researching, exhibiting and interpreting its collections for the benefit of the general public and specialized audiences.
Description
Step into the Museum and step back in time...to medieval and Renaissance Europe, feudal Japan and even to the Mediterranean cradles of civilization. Wander beneath gothic arches; listen to the sounds of contest, sport and celebration; and stand face-to-visor with over 70 suits of armor - the heroic legacies of another world and time. Children especially enjoy the hands-on Quest Gallery and the Live Arms and Armor Demonstration. The unique setting and collection are perfect for family explorations, private functions and for one-of-a-kind group tours.
