Description

Together One New York was founded in Hartley House, one of New York City's original settlement houses. We offer programs and services for immigrants, such as English language classes, a citizenship program, workshops, seminars and legal referrals. These programs are designed to help immigrants successfully transition to living in New York City, and offer support to those who travel from all parts of the world with the desire to build a new life here. We also provide adult education programs for all members of the NYC community, such as high school equivalency exam prep, language classes, cultural programs, and adult literacy.

I was unable to commit to the hours needed due to my job. Hartley house has very well-run and have a rich environment that helps the community incredibly. Everyone was so kind and I was welcomed immediately. I was sorry that I was unable to commit to the program due to job constraints.
